It is so difficult to start a small farm. There are so many barriers to success. I have spent the last two years building a vibrant soil community. This investment will help my little ranch grow.

I don't think we have that long. Bananas are a monocrop. A banana blight could very well wipe out the majority of the banana population in our generation. That would leave a small farming community of specialty growers.
