It's got to depend on the nature of the impairment, surely? I'd expect partially sighted people and people who lost their sight later in life may both be sufficiently familiar with kerning that the joke may land even though they would benefit from the alt text -- but am interested how people answer.

The mirror accounts have "No affiliation with the US government" in their bio, they're one individual's effort to mirror the US govt's Twitter accounts, not mirrors of their mass-blocked Bluesky accounts. By all means block them (I will too) but the blame here falls differently.

The govt has a 69% disapproval rating and a 13% approval rating according to YouGov. Even when the Tories were in power it never went as high as 80%, the highest it ever was was 77% on 17 October 2022 when Liz Truss's own party was calling for her resignation. Where does this 80% number come from?

Thanks, that is useful information, but I think it is not the same: that example from Microsoft shows up as Archived from 4 April 1975 at 13:00, but also shows 6 December 2024 at 01:44 as when it was posted to Bluesky. The example I linked to only shows the 2016 date.
