Ha!!! I was waiting to see who would notice and miss him! Yoshi says thank you for caring 🤣 He was under my feet at the time instead of in his usually spot for food pics. I think I caught him by surprise when I snapped a photo of my soup. Usually, he is sitting ready for a pic.

Look how much money we spent.... but also look how much money they gave back to us! Start the car.... we're going for cheese and we're getting the good stuff!!!! 🤣

That explains everything. When my husband has a food jag, there's no talking him out of it. Right now, it's rainbow trout cooked every morning for breakfast. Sometimes, I literally vomit when I come down in the morning and the house smells so fishy. But it's fish right now. And peanut M&Ms.

Absolutely. I also have a theory that most Covid-cautious people are somewhere on the spectrum of neurodivergence. They are already used to making decisions based on facts and evidence, regardless of what public opinion says, and then going their own way. They aren't really conformists.

Sounds like a good strategy for getting calories into a kid 🤣 I'm a prem mom, so even though he towers over me now, I am still always trying to get calories into kiddo. Just made him some Zoodles, added a tablespoon of butter to the bowl, and then topped it with A LOT of parmesan petals.

We all walk separately in the woods. I'm watching for birds & edible plants. My son is acting out some sort of epic battle involving a stick. My husband is preparing his biochemistry lecture & gesturing as he explains enzymes in his head. The dog runs between us, so happy to be in the woods.

I can't even explain how good it was for our family to become forest people due to the pandemic. Our kid attends a weekly forest school as part of his homeschool. He is also in an outdoors club (Woodcraft). We take our dog to the woods every day — each of us in their own world as we take it all in.

I figure if you know more, you can do better. So even without a diagnosis, if you learn how to tap into your strengths & find strategies to help with your challenges, you are setting yourself up for success. I was the only neurotypical in this family of neurodivergents, & maybe I'm not after all. 🤔

As it turns out, this parmesan is less expensive than the dried granules at Costo. I mean, given the choice, who wouldn't prefer parmesan petals over powder? So fancy ☺️

Hearing that from a lot of friends. It has certainly become more acceptable to discuss and disclose. I have some friends are really not coping, while those like me are still just doing everything differently (😜) and finding new systems to help them function.

Kiddo, watching me in action this morning, very kindly asked me if I had considered the possibility that I might also have ADHD?

I understand that. We are also very Covid-cautious. But I bake bread for neighbours, drop off soup for sick families, make squares for fundraisers, give out freezies on hot days.... there are many ways that I connect with my community via food even if I don't eat with others indoors due to masking.

Once upon a time, a diplomat friend snuck me into the UN General Assembly while it was in session. I sat in the seat for the International Court of Justice and watched a Russian yell at everyone. I feel that I, in my 20-something glory, had more to contribute to the UN than Melania Trump has. 🤷‍♀️

I could not motivate myself to paint the window trim in the laundryroom and kitchen. So I hired someone to do it and came home to freshly painted trim in the laundryroom today. And then, because the paint was out, I painted the the window trim in the kitchen. No big deal at all. I am so silly. 😜

I used to dress for work at home in Paris ON and then arrive at work in Elmira ON and I would be wearing the wrong clothes for the weather. 45-minute commute and completely different weather!

Regret to announce that we've entered into Wrong Coat Season. Every coat you wear from now until Mid-April will be the wrong coat for the weather.

This made me laugh out loud today.

Ha! Also, if someone else is wearing a mask and it's a baggy blue, I am staying far away. They are sick. They can't possibly be trying to protect themselves with that mask. 😆
