After browsing for furry artwork to use in my gesture practice exercises because drawing furry men is more exciting than human ones, I remembered Anubis is really hot and so I decided to try to make my own hot Anubis. Still WIP.

Don't worry, the surefire way to find anything you've lost is that it will happen exactly when you give up and buy another one. Moving sucks.

I post my stuff here pretty much just as a personal view of my own journey as an artist, but the more you post something the easier it is just to keep posting it. Especially among furries the fandom is happy to look at and even like very obviously learning art. Post for yourself, not others.

Made an Anubis, he turned out a little more feline than I was intending. Managed to do it without looking at references until I was done with the sketching and lineart, which is exciting for me. Today I tried more cel/anime shading style, haven't settled on firm style yet

I'm always impressed how much people are willing to nastily go after people who make a living but significantly less than a decent tech job (not even the big Meta/Google), especially when it's a passion project. I feel like people want to crush other people's passion because they have none.

Yes, people are often dumb, but when people are overall awful we're kind of conditioned not to look or think too deeply about stuff. I doubt people really believe they just heard it and pass it on uncritically because it's not worth caring. I assumed it was hyped up the more I heard but why check?

Worked on a lion gladiator boy, I wanted to try a fluffy white mane but I think in general I need to practice a new shading technique for very light colors. I'm sure it's fine to just fight things in basically no armor and a loincloth.

Tried to redo my mostly-sona, Syrel, in painting. Then I redid everything like 5 times so it's sort of a hybrid between painting and some digital shading. I may have spent too long on this and gone insane.

the worst trend in female character design for anthropomorphic characters in media has to be the absolute refusal to give women snouts.

gacha games and fortnite are especially egregious with this. come on. just a bit of a snout. it's not hard, people. give the wolf girl a snout. and DON'T squish it

I don't understand how people manage to get through life most of the time and nowhere are people more petty and weird than stuff that doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things.

It'd be fun to have enough confidence to maybe try this next year. I really love how you make all the pictures joyful and playful, people are embarrassed in them but you put fun energy into all of it. As everyone else has said, amazing how you came up with so many ideas.

I did more oil painting practice off an anatomy ref and made Aion, the Dragon-God of Fire, whose preferred humanoid form is a golden-spotted red cheetah. As lover, warrior, and artist, he's an inspiration to many and good eye-candy besides in that tiny loincloth.

I agree, this doesn't seem like a real thing to me, and is more likely to be some sort of laundering scheme. Imagine it still sucks to see if you look around though.

We pay for YT and the one time we tried to just watch on a hotel TV without logging in it felt genuinely unusable so we just swapped to watching on my tablet. The internet with ads is a horrible place and companies' answer seems to always be 'make ads worse and more intrusive'.

It's been a very good time for furry games lately! I think the ratio of VNs to not-VNs is still skewed for furry creators but I don't really see that as a problem for an artist heavy community.

I don't think it should be your responsibility to sacrifice your own life because other people are behaving poorly. I get what you're saying and only you can figure out what you can live with, but we often call things like voting going for the least bad option you have for a reason.

And in the replay you can see me fiddle around with stuff for a long time. I didn't end up using the flat color layer and instead did a layer of oil paint under the primary layer to fill holes but the replay likes to fixate on the earlier bits.

Decided to do another practice piece this one of a wolf's torso. Didn't use a reference other than my standard generic sketchy ideal male body one then played with oil paints. You can't see all of him but this is my wolf Krenn.

I didn't draw anything yesterday and I still don't have an idea for a new full piece but I wanted to practice. So my brain's like 'you should draw butts'. So uh.. I did? In two ways.

No active sex or anything but there are some dangly bits on one so..
