I only dimly remember the old one, the new one is pretty good but they ended up having to rather rush through the second half of WW2 due to the child actors visibly aging faster than the plot was moving through the timeline.

Other PGM are precision-guidance added to bombs or rockets that already were use-once-and-boom munitions. Most drones are reusable assets used for recon and such, turning a model airplane into a low-tech cruise missile is a much more radical redesign of a combat system.
