Violent crime in DC is at a 30-year low but White House crime in DC is at an all-time high.

I had a great time tonight at @vampireslibrary.bsky.social Book Club event for @cgolden.bsky.social NIGHT BIRDS. Lisa did a fantastic job, as always. Chris was his typical wonderful self. The conversation was insightful & engaging. And the crowd was chock full of friends. It doesn’t get any better!

It’s time to wake up - we are literally on the verge of losing our democracy if Donald Trump cheats his way to those seats in Texas.

I don’t understand a single goddam thing about how the world works but I especially don’t understand the cruel contemporary turn against trans people. Like…don’t you have kids? Friends? A heart? Can’t you imagine that other people are…real?

so ford is operated at a loss last quarter despite record revenues because they took $800m in tariff charges in q2 (when tariffs were lower than now) - and ford is just one company.
