I attended an event to mark the relaunch of the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Cancer.

The APPG provides MPs with a platform to discuss the importance of cancer awareness & treatment.

I’m glad to see the group relaunched & look forward to supporting its future work.

Christian Churches are well-placed to collaborate with other faith communities to help rebuild trust & deliver peace & reconciliation in Gaza.

I welcome the information provided by the Church Commissioner on the ongoing work of the Church to be peace leaders across the region.

Constituents continue to raise concerns about Royal Mail delivery delays.

In less than two months local residents will be awaiting their Scottish Parliament polling cards & postal votes.

Royal Mail must ensure they are delivered on time so that voters aren’t disenfranchised.

📢The National Lottery Community Fund is now open & accepting applications for projects to improve the health of unpaid carers.

Funding between £500,000 & £2 million is available for projects running from 5 to 10 years.

Scottish businesses are struggling & many face a 400% tax increase under the SNP Scottish Govt.

Scotland's high streets need more support - an overhaul of business rates would help achieve stronger economic growth.

A Scottish Labour government would deliver this.

Fireworks Control Zones (FCZ) - Glasgow City Council Information and link to application to apply for a Fireworks Control Zone.

Constituents have told me about the damaging impact that fireworks can have on our communities.

Firework Control Zones can prevent the use of fireworks in certain areas.

Applications for FCZs have reopened - proposals must be submitted by March 11.

Four years since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, I welcome today’s commitment from the Labour Govt to step up military, humanitarian, and reconstruction support.

We will continue to stand with Ukraine to achieve a lasting peace.

Russia must end the war.

🚁Labour is cracking down on waste crime with a 33-strong drone squad and strengthened Joint Unit for Waste Crime to shut down illegal dumps and dismantle organised criminal networks.

📉Thanks to Labour’s work to stabilise the economy, inflation has fallen to its lowest rate in a year, with lower food and petrol prices easing pressure on household budgets.

I had a useful meeting with some of the Commonwealth Games 2026 team along with Glasgow MP colleagues (& the Games’ mascot Finnie🦄)

With just over 150 days to go until the games, it was great to get an update on the ongoing work to get the city ready!

It's inspiring to see communities across Glasgow West come together for iftar, supporting one another and fostering connection.

This LGBT+ History Month, I’m thinking of all the brave activists who fought and continue to fight against the politics of division and hate.

I’m proud to be a Labour MP, representing the party that scrapped Section 28 over 20 years ago.🧵

I recently held a dementia support surgery with Martin Rhodes MP & dementia support charities including Age Scotland & Quarriers.

It was a great opportunity to speak with people living with dementia & their carers.

🌍The UK is providing an extra half a billion pounds in urgent air defence to Ukraine and will play a central part in NATO’s Arctic security mission.

✅Our Representation of the People Bill will strengthen democratic integrity by introducing tougher rules on political interference and allow 16 and 17-year-olds to vote at the next general election.

When I met recently with the Post Office Minister, I made sure to raise these concerns.

I am pleased that he is taking action on this with Royal Mail.
