⚽️Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dropping into the Scottish Gas & Scottish Football Association free Summer Football Camp at Drumchapel United.

I enjoyed speaking to the young people about the summer camp and even heard about how some are keen to be professionals in the future.

🌍 Signed a first of its kind agreement with Germany to deliver security, growth, and jobs for working people. This includes decisive action to go after criminal smuggling gangs 🧵

📮Many constituents have raised with me the poor postal service they receive from Royal Mail.

I’ve raised this in Parliament & will be seeking a further debate on this important issue – it’s vital that Royal Mail & Ofcom are held to account for delivery issues.

I’m delighted that @UKLabour has brought fwd plans to deliver our manifesto commitment to lower the voting age to 16 for all elections.

This is an important step to increase the engagement of young people in our democratic processes & I hope all at Westminster will support it.

I'm proud to be a part of a @UKLabour Government who will deliver sick pay for the poorest workers.

This will mean those earning less than £123 a week who are currently ineligible, will be able to claim statutory sick pay.

Only Labour is standing up for working people.

I’ve joined Labour colleagues in writing to the Foreign Secretary calling for the UK Government to recognise the state of Palestine.

Every available action must be taken to stop the threat to forcibly transfer Palestinian civilians in Gaza to a camp in the ruined city of Rafah.

📚I was pleased to present my recent parliamentary motion to the staff at Partick Library, recognising the significant role that the library has played in providing free access to educational resources, promoting literacy and much more!

Today is Srebrenica Memorial Day. I signed the book of remembrance for the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide to honour the victims.

This year's message “remember yesterday, act today” reminds us to stand together against all forms of hate & prejudice.

I recently attended an event commemorating Cecil the Lion, killed by an American trophy hunter in 2015.

Importing parts of endangered animals for display has no place in the UK & I'm urging the Government to implement its commitment to ban hunting trophy imports. #GetTheBanDone

The Universal Credit Bill is being debated today & I want to try to ensure that people with severe conditions such as relapsing remitting MS aren't excluded from UC higher rate of health support.

I’ve signed my colleague @graemedowniemp.bsky.social amendment on this & spoke in support of it

I'm pleased to have supported my colleague @tracygilbertmp.bsky.social Private Member's Bill on absent voting.

The bill will allow voters in Glasgow West & across Scotland to apply online for a proxy or postal vote for all elections - encouraging participation in Scottish elections.

🎾I'm delighted that tennis courts across Glasgow West have benefited from funding from the Park Tennis Court Project.

Courts in Knightswood, Victoria & Drumchapel Parks received over £140k for refurbishment, providing modern tennis facilities for local people to enjoy.

🎉It was fantastic to attend the Partick Housing Association 50th Anniversary picnic in the park event today.

I had the pleasure of catching up with Councillor James Adams and Partick Community Council.
