Dementia Heroes community support group is a welcoming initiative supporting individuals living with dementia & their caregivers.

I enjoyed visiting their dementia café in the University of Glasgow Clarice Pears Building & presenting a parliamentary motion from myself & Martin Rhodes MP.

Today I visited the consultation event hosted by Keepmoat Homes who are looking to develop sites for housing in Drumchapel.

Keepmoat are looking to build a total of 570 new homes on either side of Kinfauns Drive in Drumchapel. Watch this space for news of further consultation events.

Held jointly with the local job centre, the event allowed over 130 local residents to meet companies & organisations offering job & volunteering opportunities.

🏫It was a pleasure to visit St Ninian's Primary School today and speak to primary 6 about my role as their local MP.

From local to national, there were lots of lovely and some really tough questions - future MPs in the making.

In a debate on humanitarian access to the Occupied Palestinian Territories I spoke about the despicable situation in Gaza & the need to allow access to aid & aid workers.

I also highlighted the UK must do more to evacuate injured children & scholars granted uni places here.

I look forward to welcoming the Terry Fox Run UK to Victoria Park this Sunday.

I’ve seen first hand the value of the BAE Training Academy in Scotstoun & enjoyed chatting with the apprentices there last week along with the Prime Minister.

I believe this model could be a template for future UK defence academies & hope one of these can be based in Glasgow.

The deal secures the future of 4,000 jobs, supports a bright future for the 100-plus apprentices at BAE Systems on the Clyde, and ensures the future of shipbuilding on the Clyde for many years to come.

The Foreign Secretary updated Parliament on the 'unimaginably bleak' situation in Gaza & I took the opportunity to seek an assurance that he has not ruled out further sanctions against Israel, or any other actions, both in the run-up to the forthcoming UN meeting & beyond.
