I met with the Minister to hear more about the new strategy developed with life sciences, businesses & animal welfare organisations to fulfil our manifesto pledge.

This is a very welcome move.

Earlier this year I supported the successful campaign for opt-out HIV testing in Glasgow.

This will save lives & help Scotland end new HIV cases by 2030.

No child should grow up in poverty whilst gambling companies make record profits which are exempt from VAT.

I signed a letter to the Chancellor together with over 100 Labour MPs calling for greater taxation on gambling, reducing gambling harms and alleviating child poverty.

@glasgowwood.bsky.social is a social enterprise based in Scotstoun, transforming waste wood into quality furniture.

From fundraising to community events, the Baitur Rahman Mosque is working hard in the community.

I had the privilege of visiting them recently to learn about the work that they are doing locally.

I was pleased to visit their base in Drumchapel to meet the team, learn more about their work, & present a copy of my parliamentary motion recognising all that Men Matter Scotland do.

The hospitality sector is a major employer across the communities of Glasgow West, with thousands of local residents employed in bars, restaurants & venues.

That's why, along with colleagues, I’ve written to the Chancellor to ask that we protect it at the upcoming budget.
