Caveat here that many conservative retirees are moving to coast from Florida so the state is still definitely a swing state, but NC does have a Democratic governor and a Democratic state AG and the open Senate seat is in play assuming Cooper wins the primary so NC does seem to be shifting Dem.
26.02.2026 17:21 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0This is actually happening a lot in NC! Many people are moving to NC from Connecticut and upstate NY and now Johnson County and parts of Wake County that were pretty conservative are becoming more liberal. Holly Springs and Fuquay in Wake County just flipped their mayorships and town councils!

Highly recommend watching Alysa Liu's gold-metal free skating performance. Even if you know nothing about the technical aspects, there's no way not to get caught up in the raw talent & beauty & joy. Humans can do some pretty cool stuff.
