It’s been jaw dropping Dave the lack of water this year. Different scale but my local patch went dry in May earliest in 20 years. The usual level shown left & is now vegetated over as in the picture on the right. All ground water sources are well down. Hoping for a wet winter. #Drought2025 #climate

Very sad to hear that Derbyshire & Spanish birder Eddie Walker died yesterday. Eddie was a keen lifelong County & local patcher at Ogston Res, Wyver Lane NR, Carsington Water & his retirement in Southern Spain lead to many hours birding new areas. He will be missed. Thoughts are with the family.
