Today makes seven days since I’ve been back in NYC, and it’s been the quietest week I’ve had in ages. After several exhausting months, it was long overdue.

Because I’m a woman on the internet, the algorithm sends me content such as “things you can do to glow up in a month.” Let me tell you that half of them I was already doing, and the other half was unscientific nonsense. So I guess this is peak! Next stop: stagnation and decline!

Might be because it’s red on the DVD box art! Also red registers as fairly light on B&W film (without glaring the way true white would) so it was a common choice. Good contrast while still maintaining detail.

I’m trying to document my past costumes, but it’s an ordeal. Also trying to be more comfortable in front of the camera again. Have a silly one for reading along :) x

This was an early layout for the trim done in Illustrator, not too far off from the final version. And once again, thankful for my friend Molly for shaping up my wigs!

I thought I had run out of time and almost didn’t make anything new this year. I didn’t seriously get started until mid-January, and I also had some work to do on the previous year’s Leela. The vinyl was annoying to work with as expected, not forgiving of ripping out stitches!

I expected this one to be more recognizable! It seems the the red trim threw some people off, but Wendy Padbury herself confirmed it was the correct color ☺️
