Red Wings’ Dominik Shine finally has his moment: ‘Something I’ll cherish forever’ Shine has been with the Red Wings' AHL affiliate since 2017. He finally got his shot in the NHL on Monday.

Dominik Shine paid his dues, and then some. He spent 462 games in the AHL, and was considering retiring last season.

But Monday, the call finally came. At age 31, Shine made his NHL debut for his hometown team.

Compher and Kane out tonight, day to day, Tarasenko not feeling well (questionable). McLellan said there are some guys on standby if they need a call up.

But Motte is good to go, as is Rasmussen.

He won’t be in Detroit next year, but not sure if they’ll leave him at MSU for another or turn him pro for GR. My lean would be to MSU but not sure.
