DETECT addresses the role of changes in land use and water management on driving climate change. Please check sfb1502.de. The continuation of its work for Europe and a new region in West Africa in a potential second phase have been discussed during the 3rd retreat May 14-15, 2025, in Bad Breisig.

1st African-European Workshop on Land Surface and Climate Change within DETECT took place May 13, 2025 in Bonn. Great presentations and discussions on the mutual couplings between land use and climate change.
