02.03.2026 16:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs not βeasyβ to leave the military if your contract isnβt up. Itβs a dishonorable discharge and can affect future employment. Also many people join the military to get tuition coverage and medical insurance. Itβs really hard to find jobs with any benefits now. Blame our system first.
01.03.2026 23:56 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0Thx for feeling brave to share. Itβs way more common than people realize. and they can be happening for different reasons. I hope you have mental health care and people around you that support you.

22.02.2026 15:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Poorly lit counter and kitchen sink area with no visible dirty dishes. Pink tulips in a blue ball jar on bar set against sunny windows in background. Other random household things on counter that are not the focus of this post can be seen.
Looking to start a new gratitude habit, so I am intentionally trying to post once a day something that invoked feelings of gratitude, joy or awww.
Today is a clean counter and tulips given by my platonic Valentines date.
As a disabled person, I rely on transcription software to help take meeting notes and transcripts. Even the "to-do" section is very helpful. I wish there were more ethical companies to get this service from. This is a good use of AI, not trying to make it something it isn't while causing harm...

Disabled people are significantly more likely to be in poverty than non-disabled people.
If the benefits system was really too generous, it would be the other way round.

02.09.2025 17:16 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0as a former educator and a grad student, i concur.
12.08.2025 16:16 β π 1 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0I am so glad you are still here trying to live the best way you know how. My heart goes out to you. We are worthy of love and consideration. Thanks for writing something so real that I can share to those close to me so they can have more understanding of this reality. π
29.07.2025 10:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All of this to say, People who arenβt worried about the risk donβt have this constant fear or mental load that you referenced. As well as isolation because of ableism and people only caring about their comfort. Or not being able to handle the truth of the real risk.
29.07.2025 10:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0And when I met someone who told me, they would mask in solidarity for me, esp when i am often the only one masking, i started crying. Even my close friends who were CC for a long time, stopped masking with me in public.
29.07.2025 10:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I have found one monthly, public, gathering where I probably take too many risks with because itβs a huge room with high ceilings, fans, and huge windows that are usually open to the outside. Though when itβs crowded, I donβt always put a mask on, because I am tired!
29.07.2025 10:33 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0in gathering spaces, where my friends come to me. I also got a booster this Summer, and all my friends are vacβd and will cancel if they feel sick at all. There is still risk, but itβs what I have settled on for now.
29.07.2025 10:33 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0As a CC disabled person with long covid, I see you. My struggle is as I have had some functioning returned, (60% instead of 30%) I find I take more risks because the pull to be included is so strong. Itβs human nature. Luckily for now i have found a balance where I have extra air purifiersβ¦

21.07.2025 22:20 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0But Trump took over their cult. Without him they donβt have enough of a voting block to hold power.

16.07.2025 22:57 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0but more poor people and disabled people will die. Taking care of other people is what gives us humanity. The capitalist experiment has failed. Bring on soullessness and eugenics. π°
