It was previously home to about 800 Palestinians with roughly half of them children. This is the latest of 45 Palestinian communities that have been forcibly displaced in the occupied West Bank since October 2023, according to B’tselem.

The area has now been completely emptied of Palestinians. Since October 2023, Israel has forcibly displaced 45 Palestinian communities in the West Bank, comprising at least 3,501 people. The only place I could connect with Black culture consistently was the barbershop.

As a Congolese-American kid, I actually found the FBA/ADOS labels kinda useful for distinguishing the historic Black American culture as its own thing.
