Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service Plan (MASCOTS) The Marin-Sonoma Coordinated Transit Service Plan (MASCOTS) is a collaborative project between MTC and nine transit and funding agencies to create a more connected, frequent transit network.

The MASCOTS proposal, a plan to coordinate and rationalize transit service in Marin and Sonoma counties, is out as of Friday.

The plan is revenue-neutral, so isn't revolutionary, but it includes improved SMART hours and frequency, faster 580 bus routing, and more frequent 101 buses to SF.
