In a fun twist, I've actually been to all of the places that the charms depict, including one from the little island that I used to dock at when I used to sail in the sea scouts in highschool

OMG, I had a brain wave.
One of the bracelets was a child's size.
Also 2 of the charms I already had in my stash from thrifting in the past plus a few of the ones I have coming on the last bracelet are all location/state charms.
This is going to be so dope. I'm exited
03.03.2026 03:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0So the first batch of charms came today and I'm pulling them all off the old bracelets and mapping out where I might want them
03.03.2026 03:20 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0and I realized that getting nearly 30 charms attached to my bracelet was going to be hella money at a local jeweler. But you know what I can get for 30$ ? A soldering kit with silver solder! I can do it myself!

But my uncle joe (her son) gave me 300$ for Christmas, and I decided to spend that money to buy/thrift the 26 years worth of charms my bracelet is missing.
So I've now thrifted multiple vintage charms and/or charm bracelets (that I can pillage for their charms) on Goodwill Auctions,
So when I was like 12 years old my Great Aunt Jan gave me a silver charm bracelet, and told me that she was going to buy me a new charm for all my big life stuff. Then she died when I was 14, and I never got any more charms

I lived in Conservative/Christian Nationalist spaces for WAY TOO LONG to not know EXACTLY what buttons to push on these men.
Attack their masculinity specifically in their self-described roles as Leaders, Protectors, and Providers -- linking it back to their vote/non-vote
It's hilarious.
I've taken up a new hobby, which is being mean to "non-political/other" men on Hinge.
Instead of just ignoring those likes (my habit), I've been matching, sending flirty little messages followed by, "So who did you vote for?" then attacking their character and masculinity when they answer badly.

OH MY GOSH I FIGURED IT OUT.
I was having a discussion about ICE in Minnesota with a man who is a reflexive contrarian, and his takes were so bad and misinformed I asked him what news sources usually are, and he rattled off the names of some twitch streamers/podcasters which I wrote down

25.02.2026 17:35 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 1Maybe the ransomware attack is preemptive to an attack on Anthrocon to prevent the furries from getting proper medical care as an attack on our national IT infrastructure

Here is my EXTREMELY CORRECT prediction for this season of The Pitt
The hospital *does* get attacked by a ransomware hack + something happens at Anthrocon to send a pack of furries to the Pitt = the furries (who are all high level IT professionals) save the hospital from the hackers.
Now I've got to go see if I can find James Mcavoy's Cyrano monologue and rewatch it because this has sent me down a rabbit hole on Cyrano versions

Ha! Well pick up the Gottmans "7 Principles for Making Marriage Work"
I'm unmarried and unattached and it's still SO useful!
And the Love Languages is Gary Chapman, not John Gottman, so maybe it was a conflation? Because I absolutely agree that Gary Chapman is a creep and charlatan.

Huh!
Well, the Hebrew Bible is 2/3 of the Christian Bible, so maybe he wrote something that overlaps both faiths? Or maybe developed it in collaboration w a Christian?
But considering how many conservative Christians are in wildly unhealthy marriages, meeting people where they are makes sense
The Gottmans are Jewish?
