I still like Screamadelica but Maria McKee and Sinead O’Connor who were on just before on #totp show Bobby’s limitations.

At the time I couldn’t understand why it was being said that it glamorised drug taking. It’s a bleak reflection of the time in Scotland.

A lot of the tributes will be focused on the surrealism and weirdness of his films. The humanity in them was always deeply affecting.
