Sam Hughes has departed #StockportCounty to join Peterborough United on loan for the rest of the season.

Would anticipate that County will be looking to add another defender before the end of the window.

🚨 Louie Barry is to be recalled by Aston Villa.

Undone by a really poor second half.

Good first half, but chances missed before County had a job done on them by a physical Stevenage side. Nothing created in that second half.

One of those really frustrating, albeit deserved, defeats.

County much the better side but fell behind to a really soft opener to concede, nicely tucked away by Dan Kemp. Callum Camps quickly levelled from distance, and County have gone on to miss a number of good chances since.

The 19-year-old Andrésson bagged 21 goals in 26 appearances for KR in the Icelandic top division last season (which ended in Sept). 🇮🇸

By no means a season-defining defeat against a club that'll be back in the Championship next season.

County started brightly on the break - big chance early on with Will Collar off the bar - and looked compact, structured and hard-working at the back.

If ever there was a game to trot out the 'we've come a long way' line, it's probably Birmingham City (3rd) v #StockportCounty (5th) in a league fixture

Already seen a few (no offence!) older fans downplaying this, understandably given many have seen County play Palace.

Into the hat for the FA Cup third round. Had to work for it after a calamitous Callum Connolly own goal allowed Brackley back into the game, but job done in the end with Tanto Olaofe sealing the deal.
