I work at a museum and archives for a religious order of nuns and, while taking an inventory of our collection, we found this cat. This drawing has become the unofficial office mascot. I'm pretty sure we look like this on every Monday.

An aluminum rowboat is turned upside down in preparation for the upcoming cold season. This was photographed today– early winter at sunrise; the warm light of the sun gave surrounding hills and knobs their mountain-glow tops and one section of light warmed this small hillside scene. A large, dark cedar (juniper) tree fills the left side of the view and shelters the overturned boat; assorted oak trees with their clinging dried leaves make up the remaining background. They're on a grassy hillside and you can just glimpse the approaching thick cloud blanket from the west peeking through the tree tops. In contrast to the warm light of the eastern sun, it looks steely blue-grey. The light lasted only a half hour and now everything has gone nearly monochrome as the rainy/sleet/snowy weather moves in.

How wonderful! Your artwork embellished the wall of my room when I was a teen and this image will always be imprinted in my memories of that time. Such is the power of art.

Graffiti on concrete bridge supports. The concrete pillar fills the left half of the frame and an attached arch curves upward and meets the top right corner of the image. The graffiti is partially illegible; it's composed of words only and no artistic imagery; the legible bit says "Just Pray." Beyond the bridge and through the arch is a deep green river and its bank which is populated with a line of slim, bare trees; the trees are reflected in the water.

That tree is a beauty and directly below your post in my feed is this quote. Thanks for always finding the beauty, Rina.

A horse's mane; a macro image in color which almost appears to be a monochrome, aside from a few warm tones on the right edge. Long hairs are positioned diagonally in the frame; black in the bottom left section and the white above creating an evenly split view. She is a black and white horse and I've always enjoyed how her mane and tail are divided so clearly into black and white just like the hair on her body.

Thank you! That light was a treat. When I got back to the house, I saw that my husband had dropped off our leashed dogs in the yard and took off with his camera in another direction. He came back with lovely shots of our neighbor's gently illuminated hay fields.

Beautiful cookies! Interesting recipe changes too–I've already save the recipe and will give it a try.

This morning's light was an absolutely beautiful amber glow for just a few moments while the sun was low on the horizon. Even the dried out pokeweed looked poetic.
