As much as Jimmy is to blame, I can’t help but feel he’s been shafted by the board. We must have missed out on all our top targets this window.

I’m not sure the club can do anything about this. The difference between England and Scotland is frightening. Villa pay £1m plus in the hope he comes good but if not, no big deal, we pay £1m it absolutely needs to work. We do need to get our own boys through to the first team quicker tho.

Hale is a no brainier, scores goals and ready to go, he would be a welcome addition. Jimmy is stubborn as fuck by the looks of it and it could well be his undoing in the end. The club is trying to do the right things but the balance of buying potential and experience players is all wrong.

The cup win gives him the next 8 games for me. If the performances don’t pick up then he unfortunately will have to go.

I like JT but he himself must have expected a lot better. I can’t help feel he has been let down by the board who seemed to have dined on the Scottish cup win to long over the summer. We are in trouble. New signings are questionable and we are powderpuff all over the pitch. Could be a long season.

Correct. Would have been a goal up after 5 minutes if we had a decent striker and the game is very different. We are not far away from being a very decent team.

A goal scoring striker is a must. We would be a totally different team with one.. Polvara needs to start, the fascination with Nilsen has to stop. We had better players on the bench tonight. Topi, Palaversa needs to pull there finger out because we need so much more from them.

Ask him why he keeps perceiving with Nilsen/Shinnie in centre mid when it didn’t work last season.

Any news on a striker incoming?

Probably are and that’s good that we are in the market for players who are attracting interest elsewhere. I suppose that’s when we should be looking at loan players, we must have good relationships with Spurs and Liverpool, would rather that than someone like Yengi who is clearly out of his depth.

Then you go for proven strikers who are literally on our doorstep, Hale at Ross county stands out a Mile. I agree tho, we are going to struggle in the league badly unless we pull some rabbits from the hat.

Can’t help but feel the club has been asleep at the wheel during the summer break. We should have come out all guns blazing after the Scottish cup win but feel we are miles off it in terms of preparation and signings. Hibs Hearts and Dundee Utd look much better equipped.

The new boys are going to have to hit the ground running. Nilsen hasn’t played for months, but thought Palaversa has been very poor last few games of last season and against Ipswich. Nerves about this one, we look totally underprepared.
