While we're not putting on any special events for this round of the winter round of GoByBike, we're encouraging cyclists in the Nanaimo region to get out and ride to work, to school, or to run their errands.

Motorcyclist charged after pushing cyclist in Nanaimo: RCMP A motorcyclist has been charged with assault and dangerous driving after an incident where a video showed a cyclist being pushed from behind by a passing motorcyclist.

“As I moved to the left-hand side close to the centre line, all of a sudden I had a big shove on my right hand shoulder and then the guy yelling at me, ‘Get the F- off the road!’ and he pushed so hard,” [Ishikawawa] said on Aug. 9. 4/4
