There are valid AI uses where the data set is trained on, say, the knowledge base & customer support files of a specific business. But the art & writing ones all appear to have been built on stolen work

The issue is that you aren't programming logic into the AI. You're telling the AI to reference a ton of (mostly stolen) data, and inherently a majority of that data set is already bad

I haven't seen the outcome of this, but I feel like the judge should have pushed back immediately. If the lawyer can't definitively say if they've accessed certain systems or what types of access they have, then they need to be barred until they can state it.
