Started a new anime! The art in this show is incredible. Love the concept of orphans trying to reach the bottom of an abyss.

A little bit of a warning this anime is Not suitable for younger audiences, there is a fair amount of gore 😅

Cyclone 2 actually uses TMR sticks! which are EVEN BETTER 😁

There are also controllers that use TMR sticks that come with all the benefits of Hall Effect, with none of the (few) downsides.

I think so too. I mean controllers are like the biggest share of the accessory profits. The Dualsense and switch pro controller are commonly #1 on Amazon gamings top 10...

Seems awfully profitable to make controllers that don't last but so long.

Sony and Microsoft don't do it either, so as far as I'm concerned they are all in cahoots.

considering smaller companies can do it, I'm suspicious of the cost argument, but I don't know, I don't work for Nintendo. There are also TMR sticks, that'd I'd like even more than hall effect, but either way all 3 major manufacturers are still making drifting controllers.

the pro controller isn't using hall effect either.

So I think nintendo is choosing not to, although I can't say for sure why.

The cynic in me says planned obsolescence
