From First Peoples on this land, to Palestine, West Papua, Xinjiang, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and all victims of genocide around the world, I stand with you.
It comes as no surprise that this bill was voted down by the major parties.
The rejection of the bill speaks to the colonial and genocidal interests of this government, with Labor and the Coalition protecting their political interests over international justice.
Today my Genocide Bill was debated and voted on in the Senate: www.instagram.com/p/DHpoALOxlwd/
The demand of the bill was simple: that perpetrators of genocide, war crimes, and other crimes against humanity, should be held accountable - whether in this country or overseas, whether past or present.
What is Labor’s position on jailing children and denying them bail? The Prime Minister says one thing, his Minister for Indigenous Australians says another.
I’m calling for the federal government to take concrete action on bail by funding therapeutic bail support and supervision.
"the PM's explicit support of Victoria's policy surprised even Labor MPs who spoke to National Indigenous Times"
Yet another case of Albanese manhandling, cutting across and contradicting his ministers to chase cheap popularity.
Shame on Albanese.

He asked us to simply accept that the government's intentions behind the changes are good. He wouldn't give us any details about the changes or how they would work. All he had was empty talk. No wonder we are all very alarmed."

If nuclear power plants are built, it will require us to switch off our solar panels. Try researching this before you rubbish it. And nuclear is NOT clean.
15.12.2024 12:30 — 👍 5 🔁 0 💬 5 📌 0You call surplus nuclear energy 'clean energy' then I suggest its you on something. It's you who are deluded if you think nuclear energy is clean.
15.12.2024 12:28 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Australia doesn't need surplus nuclear energy that will require us to switch off our solar panels. Nor do we need your nuclear waste. So go flog your antiquated dangerous power source else where.

“all jurisdictions for which we have data have seen a rise in COVID activity but only Tasmania and Victoria have seen a clear surge or wave.”
This. Having been through this with a conservation assessment for dingoes in Victoria, this year—which I found highly unsatisfying—this rings absolutely true for me. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...
