I was feeling the despair. Sun was out in advance of the big storm coming, and I drove to a hilltop, rolled down the window, and let the sun fill my heart and soul for an hour. Nature is healing; reminds us that the only thing permanent is change. There is light coming for all us fighters for good.

Exact same thing happened to me in catholic school. My mother (widow with 11 of us kids)had us think critically about messaging in advertising, politics, and tv sitcoms. So I was prepared for the Carter haters and argued facts. Thanks Mom! Those critical thinking skills made me leave the church too.
