DISCOVERY PARK (Magnolia)

The crown jewel of Seattle parks, vast and sprawling, incorporating forests, meadows, an abandoned army base, housing, trails down the bluff, a beach, a lighthouse, an Indian cultural center... A little out of the way but well worth it.

RAVENNA/COWEN PARK (Ravenna)

Nobody really distinguishes between the two because they're connected, but Cowen Park is the uphill western area. This is my favorite park in Seattle, a vertical choose-your-own-adventure of bridges and trails running through and over a ravine with a creek.
