Veterans Day honors all veterans who have served our country in wartime and peacetime. Many of those veterans work in federal, state, and local government. The Trump Administration and what he calls the "Big Beautiful Bill" have cut 6,000 veterans' jobs and have cut and eliminated various veterans' services. Several of those programs were directed towards serving homeless veterans. Mr. Trump, is this the way you honor our veterans? Is this the way you celebrate Veterans Day? All of this is going to come back to haunt you, and some of us will be making sure it indeed haunts you.

Let history record that on Tuesday, November 4th, Democrats turned out in record numbers, demonstrated their outrage at Trump and MAGA Republicans, and, as was said by our Leader Hakeem Jeffries, “we have smoked these fools, all across the country!” As is already known, we won governorships, mayorships, state supreme court justice seats, state legislative seats, and even local offices! We are proud, we are patriotic, and we are steadfast in protecting our country from the cruel forces of Trump and his minions and puppets, who have revealed their lack of love and care for the people of this country.

I am so inspired and pleased by the YES vote we received in California for Proposition 50! The enthusiasm we received in support of Proposition 50 speaks well to people’s understanding of why it was essential to respond to the Republicans' gerrymandering to secure five extra seats in Texas. In California, we decided we would not be threatened, disrespected, or run over by Texas Republicans or anyone else, so we did the right thing: we created Prop 50 under the leadership of Gov. Gavin Newsom. When we fight, we can win! Onward in our continuing fight to protect our country from the likes of Trump and MAGA Republicans.

I know you want us to plead, and get on our knees and beg, just to prove your power. Did you say you are a Christian? Your actions defy your claim of Christianity!

Why do you insist on starving children and families when there is a contingency fund and you have the authority to transfer more money to cover all their benefits?

Donald Trump, the court has ordered you to pay SNAP beneficiaries their November benefits. The court did not order you to make a partial payment. What is wrong with you?

Even your immigrant parents would remember what America has done for them and you, and would respect the historical value of the White House!

Donald Trump, have you no shame? You have proven that you are not patriotic, you have proven that you are a wanna be dictator. You have proven that you want to rip off taxpayers with a crooked lawsuit to give 230 million taxpayer dollars to yourself, but destroying the East Wing of the White House?

Just wait for the fight that I and others are going to take on, against your phony lawsuit. You have corrupted the Department of Justice; it is under your control, and that constitutes a brazen conflict of interest!

Donald Trump has lost his crooked mind if he thinks we are going to allow him to sue the Department of Justice, claiming he was mistreated when he was investigated, and have taxpayers pay him 230 million dollars!

Good News! The LA Dodgers won the World Series! Better news, the courts ordered Trump to release SNAP funds for November by this Wednesday. When we fight, we win!

Listen, Trump, what is this business about not paying Federal workers who have been furloughed? In addition to that, you and your replacement for Elon Musk, Russell Vought, are using the shutdown to fire legitimate federal workers. How the hell do you think the country can be run adequately and safely without employees who get up every day and come to work for the American people? Are you out of your mind? Some of these federal workers voted for you, but now they know that you were lying when you said, “Make America Great Again.” What you were really saying is “I will amass power, because I am a wannabe dictator, like my friends, Putin in Russia, and Kim Jong Un in North Korea!”

Mr. Speaker, why don't you stop the nonsense of holding up the work of the House of Representatives by not swearing in the legitimately elected representative of the 7th district of Arizona, Adelita Grijalva? Are you that afraid of Trump? If so, I will gather the women of the House to come and hold your hand to give you the strength that you need for you to do your job. Come on, let's get with it!

I was fortunate to work with one of the greatest civil rights, political, and truly profound religious leaders the world has ever known. Rev. Jesse Jackson's contributions to this country's civil and human rights are immeasurable. Happy birthday, my dear and beloved friend.

I join with Mrs. Jacqueline Jackson & the entire family of Rev. Jesse Jackson to celebrate his 84th birthday today. He is indeed my dear friend & brother. I will always be grateful to Rev. Jackson for allowing me to play a leadership role in his 1984 & 1988 presidential campaigns. I learned so much.

This is a five-alarm fire signaling the collapse of American democracy as we know it. Donald Trump is dragging the United States down the dark and dangerous path toward dictatorship. This indictment is nothing more than payback and retaliation. Let’s be clear about what’s happening: Trump is weaponizing the full force of the federal government to punish his political enemies. When there is no evidence to convict, he manufactures it. When prosecutors refuse to do his bidding by bringing forward baseless charges, he fires them. Just days ago, Trump publicly demanded that the Department of Justice prosecute Comey, declaring that ‘justice must be served, now!’ Just days later, his crooked and spineless Attorney General, Pam Bondi – whose loyalty to Trump runs deeper than her loyalty and allegiance to the oath she took to defend the Constitution – followed his order. We must do everything in our power to discourage those attempts to destroy us. We shall never forget the horror of that day, and we must always guard against terrorist acts.

Today, September 11th, is the 24th anniversary of the attack on our country, where four hijacked aircraft, one in Washington, two in New York City, and one in Pennsylvania, were used to commit unspeakable violence against our people. 9/11 was a devastating and horrible occurrence.

Let us all work together to solve our problems without resorting to violence!

My deepest and most sincere condolences to the family of Charlie Kirk. The growing and horrible violence that appears to be escalating in this country must stop. No matter your position on any issue or any elected official, no one’s position must include violent solutions.

We must never forget that organized labor continues its struggle for justice, fairness, and the constant fight to increase the minimum wage, especially at the federal level.

The labor movement is responsible for workplace safety, helps protect children from being exploited in the workplace, and is responsible for building the middle class in America.

Today, we honor the pioneers of the labor movement, men and women who put their lives on the line, demanding fair labor practices for the workers who helped to build this country. Because of their sacrifices, we have healthcare, pensions, vacations, and fair working hours.

This damaged human being is pushing our country to the edge. Everyone needs to be aware and not fall victim to his lies, provocations, antics, and tactics. He’s just damn crazy!
