Ran ”Scions of Elemental Evil” last weekend. It’s a free quest on D&D Beyond.
I made a few changes, like changed the slime cult from humans covered pus-filled boils to orcs with runny noses.
I’ll probably knock-together an adventure pack of all the minis needed to run the quest
It’s been a real bummer watching drivethru get flooded by slop

27.11.2025 16:26 — 👍 47 🔁 7 💬 0 📌 0I am always on the hunt for fun, 1-shot D&D quests. A common hook I find is the party stumbles across a crime & an NPC is like “Hello armed strangers, can you solve this mystery for us?”
This premise is both unhinged & 5E is the wrong engine for a locked-room mystery.
24 hours with PVA? That’s a level of patience I don’t have. Artist Tac or Super 77 for instant adhesion!

One of the artificer between two elemental brutes, and a shot of everyone backing into a corner to avoid the range of the pirate captains “Good Boobs” attack 🤣
If I found out somebody needed to run several iterations through an AI to roast me, I would go at them with the energy of the meanest middle school bully. They would never stop crying.
24.11.2025 16:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0In the case of D&D, I find the traditional adventure writing style includes a certain amount of “slog.” I try to trim as much slog out as possible and structure a quest to run more like a tv episode or movie.

I also often condense several NPCs into one guy, or condense info/encounters spread across multiple rooms into one room
