Rated: Liked it Review: I enjoyed this book. I went in without any context and I’m glad I did, it made it more like I was experiencing the story alongside Bob. This is a very sci-fi book, so if you’re not into that, you probably would not enjoy this. The banter is fun though and it’s just some of the technical stuff that felt like it dragged on sometimes.

Rated: Loved it Review: Absolutely loved this book. The continuation of the previous book was perfect and I enjoyed Tarisai’s (and everyone else’s) continued growth. The multiple journeys that occur in this book were really well paced and I loved most choices the author made. My only real criticism of this book was repeated uses of the word “manic”. As someone with Bipolar, I’m very sensitive to usage of that term not relating to actual mania.

Rated “loved it” with the following review: Wonderful world building, characters who are easy to care about, great character growth, really fascinating story and great setup for the next book. Loved the lore and the desires to both buck tradition where it didn’t serve people but also to restore what had been hidden that was good.

I’m still so mad that we missed out on Bernie as president.

I really appreciate that @bsky.app is one of the few apps out there that hasn’t force fed us generative AI.

I added it to my backlog. It looks so good. I’ve heard big fables is a good paper mario-esque game (and I grabbed that too), but this one looks much more polished.

I think a lot of liberals and leftists (I don’t know about actual democrats) dislike Nancy Pelosi almost as much as MAGA does. She’s the definition of an institution Democrat and the problem with the party.

Saying this again for the Winter Olympics: If Russia cannot compete, then neither should Israel. Having a rule barring only one state is inherently saying that the actions of every other aren’t worthy of condemnation. It’s endorsement of genocide in Gaza by allowing them.

The United States and Israel were both justifiably booed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics.

This is to be expected when one country is committing genocide and the other country is facilitating it

Rated “Loved It” with the following review: Such a good romance novel! The choices made had me constantly saying “no!” but there’s gotta be some conflict to resolve. Ember’s journey is an interesting one and I’m happy to have read it. Danuwoa is the best.

Rated “Loved it” Review: Probably the best sci-fi book I’ve read. I’m amazed at how much in-depth science was in this book but it stayed interesting and engaging the whole time. I knew nothing about this going into it other than it was space related and never imagined where it would end up. Loved this so much.

Rated Loved It with the following review: This book has so many layers and great world-building. Loved the combination of mermaids, religious zealots, gods, pirates, and more! The ending seemed like it could continue. I wouldn’t be mad if it did!

Renee Nicole Good still had a pulse after being shot by an ICE agent.

She had a chance at survival.

ICE didn’t administer aid.

They refused to allow an on scene doctor to administer aid.

They chose to kill her. They chose to let her suffer.

We should all be enraged.

You can become disabled or homeless in an instant.

Even if you’re young and healthy.

Even if you have a “good job” and a back up plan.

Even if you think you’re doing everything right.

Disability and poverty are not moral failings.

They can happen to anyone.

Rated: Liked It Review: The series ended, and I still never really liked the main character and was just constantly frustrated with her choices. The book and the series were super well written, but I was not satisfied with how it wrapped up. Maybe there was something more real about the lack of happy ending.

Rated “Loved It” with the following review: Similar to the first book, this is heavy. It’s very well written and the story certainly progresses. I’m still not sure how I feel about the main character, but she has developed some (and in a good rhythm with the story). Very interested to see how this story ends up in the next book.

Rated: Loved It Review: Holy crap. This book is HEAVY. Like…the in-depth descriptions of genocide are the most graphic I’ve read. Trigger warning there. That said, it’s well-written, gripping, and I want to know how it all ends. Not my favorite main character, but I don’t know that you’re supposed to always like her.
