Today on #youngcarersactionday we release new findings from our @nuffieldfoundation.org funded project on the educational attainment of young carers. This is the 1st time we have had self-report care info from YP matched with educational data.

We found:
-Young carers were 35% less likely to hit their age-expected attainment than their peers
-Young carers achieve on average 2 fewer GCSEs compared to their peers
-51% of young carers had no GCSEs at A*-C
