Sometimes I design ships. Most times I design how to design ships. Skeets not representative of employer or client policy. She/Her/Hers.

Star Trek VI is clearly the most philosophical of the Trek films, simply becuase it contains the line "I cannot confirm the existence of Praxis".

And finished. Derived from their proposal for the RN OPV3 requirement, the Ocean Patrol Ship or OPS was a light frigate proposed by Yarrow in 1985. With much inspiration from the in-progress Type 23 design this was a 95m 1800 tonne ship 1/

I am very old and most importantly, a soft-skinned artiste who hails from the land of icons so still use Truespace. I’ve tried to use Blender so many times, but its UI concept is by coders for coders. My last attempt literally destroyed my interest in CG for a few months. Le sigh.

I’m planning to use this one for teaching - it’s a metric version of a propeller selection diagram from an old Admiralty memo. I like it because it shows the relationships in a visual way, which the automated selectors don’t.

Two identical anomalocaris, a type of extinct aquatic arthropod-like organism vaguely resembling a shrimp. The one on the top is wearing two mittens on the appendages on its face, the one on the bottom is wearing mittens on each of its multiple lobes/fins along its sides. Caption reads, "If Anomalocaris wore gloves, would it wear them like this... or this?"

While people try to divide us, I appreciate the common human visual processing quirk of having a general idea of what Tony Hawk looks like but never being convinced it's him because the final latch doesn't close in your head for some reason.

Someone needs to invent an anti-energy drink. Something that I can drink at 11pm to counteract the coffee I’m going to need at 8:45pm so that I can get shit done and then be able to sleep by midnight.
