OC's defeat was the begining of the story. Cope was pushed to use Spike just weeks ago, It hasn't lost the plot at all. Stories aren't made to feel good all the time and that's what's driving it, & it's not one linear thing it's a set of events over time motivating characters.

Every week Mox directly addresses what he wants and needs out of the roster and then pushes them to the brink to try to achieve that, if you think they're the characters that are supposed to be developed you're straight up missing the point.

That's just not true it's affected the entirety of AEW. Kommander had to cheat to get his title after being cheated in his match, Kenny and Will had to unite during the brawl they were losing in a moment of teamwork. The key players are developing everybody else by pushing them past their limits.

Not for nothing but this is the long-term storytelling that everybody begged for and now that it's there looking them in the face they can't even recognize it.
