This week, Israeli officials approved plans to 'capture' the entire Gaza strip and remain in the Palestinian territory indefinitely.
There is another term for this: ethnic cleansing. This was always the plan - and our government cannot pretend they didn't know. They could have ended all arms sales to Israel and implemented sanctions. They granted endless impunity for Israel's atrocities instead.
Today alone, Israeli air strikes have so far already killed 5 people in Gaza.
Today also marks 64 days of Israel's total humanitarian blockade, which has left more than 65,000 children suffering from severe malnutrition. Israel's latest announcement is nothing new. It is the next stage in an ongoing project: the erasure of the Palestinian people.
Once again, we call on our government to end all arms sales to Israel.
Anything less is complicity in crimes against humanity.
No amount of "deep concern" can make up for the military, economic and political support our government continues to provide. No words can negate the sale of deadly F-35 components. And no statements "urging" Israel to stop can match the impunity it has been granted to carry on.
We will continue to demand a full arms embargo, economic sanctions, and the only path to a just and lasting peace: an end to the occupation of Palestine.

The UKβs academic recession is in full swing
This university crisis is a grim scrabble for numbers
πHigher Educationπ
The UKβs universities are beleaguered and besieged. Redundancies continue to be announced. Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh, Kent, Queenβs Belfast, Sheffield; the list goes on and on. Perhaps 10,000 jobs will go in this academic year, and thatβs just the beginning. #AcademicSky

There are no universities left in Gaza. Historical documents, knowledge, artifacts, faculty, staff, students - all bombed. This is epistemicide as part of genocide. It's a loss to all of humanity. There is no coming back from this. This ethnic cleansing reveals the barbarism of genociders.
