I was invested in it from the start once I found out Robert Picardo was going to be in it. Long time fan of Voyager so anytime there's a character in a new series from it, that's enough of a hook for me!

As it stands now, they're trying to get Starfleet Academy S2 finished while their current contract is in operation.

Yeah, I don't know too many people that really enjoyed the Section 31 movie.

I've told other people that I would rather watch Starfleet Academy over or anything else Star Trek before Section 31 ever again.

It doesn't help that I feel like I don't even have anyone that I can talk about it in a positive manner about what is or isn't working for people about it.

That's why this is all mentally exhausting for me.

I do hope we get a Star Trek series that people WILL like again.

The Nielsen streaming chart showed exactly what I expected: When people say they're not going to watch, the show fails to trend.

All this did is lead to more negativity, because it's now "Only bots could post that they like it since no real person could watch & like it."

Honestly, I'm mentally exhausted at the amount of hate that Star Trek: Starfleet Academy is getting. The months leading up to it with everything we knew, people were already bowing out of it because of things like "90210 in space" and such.

Then, we got the Nielsen numbers this week.

Anyone who says otherwise is just PERPETUATING the fighting that James Cawley is apparently fed up with. I mean, he isn't endorsing any of the new Star Trek, but he also isn't looking to start fights with people who like it.

In the PAST that was the case. We're dealing with a different group now & they seem to want to do things a different way.

Typically, they NEVER released the Anniversary bundle ON the anniversary.

We usually get the anniversary in the past on or near the actual date & like a week or two later, they start teasing it out, usually with the full details a few days before the actual release.

I think it's all been delayed because of some internal issues that had been going on. I mean, we didn't get the anniversary ON the anniversary, so I think the usual time tables are delayed for sure.

Bill Krause, the designer of the Shangri La class had been teasing some thing is happening with it. Considering that it is legit in Star Trek as a true ship, it's possibly ANOTHER ship in the pack since the pack is TMP era focused.

We sort of know already what a couple of other ships are due to some slipups or outside teases by other people.

Consoles had recently a slipup where the Pioneer class suddenly had two variants that could be seen in the store: a TMP era visual & an Exeter like visual, which suggests a T6 version.

I wish I had known about this BEFORE I bought it.

Knowing that we COULD get an account on here for STO would be awesome for the people on the STO subreddit that have decided to block X due to who owns it.

Anything honestly helps for communication with the playerbase!

- Rapier: T2 Saber Escort
- Aurora & Quasar: T2 Nova Science Vessel
- Hope & Horizon: T3 Olympic Research Science Vessel.

The Tier 3 Heavy Cruiser line would be next.

I wonder though what style they'll take the stargazer. Given that it was said to have launched after the Dominion War, I could see them doing a sovereign influence on it, at least on the hull. I'm not sure though on the nacelles.

Yes, but they're doing the remasters in a Tier order.

We just got the Hope remaster, which finishes off the Olympic Research Science Vessel lineage of ships, which is a Tier 3 ship.

It's going to be a while until they get to the Prometheus line of ship remasters.

Look, spoiling #STO shit for you guys is one of my few remaining joys in this cruel world, so I will just say we're about to start intake on another remaster that I think will surprise and delight the four-nacelle gang.

I'm not going to care if anyone wishes to tell me that I'm wrong for treating things a certain way. My opinions are my own & my POV on how I see things is just as valid as anyone else's POV, even if they disagree with me.

As I look back on 2024 & move into 2025 later tonight, I want to say that moving forward, I am going to endeavor to stand my ground over what others may think of my opinions regarding certain TV shows. What matters to me moving forward is my OWN judgment on TV shows & movies AND anything else.

It's hard to ignore when its going to be an ongoing thing for some time, sadly. I mean, look at what is still to come with Strange New Worlds, Starfleet Academy and Section 31.

There's also the upcoming Skydance merger too which could impact things.

So there has been one thing that has been on my mind lately: This ongoing debacle concerning the "Prime Timeline" with Star Trek.

Certain youtube channels out there will say that the "Prime Timeline" is different, but what in all actually DOES make it up?

Not to mention, it gives the STO devs a chance to catch up with the shows to put out new stuff from them.

Part of me is hoping that based on the way the series ended Star Trek Online can help pick up something up that might follow up on the multiversal story arc that they are currently running with. Just my personal wish of course!

So it's a bittersweet moment for me after watching the #StarTrekLowerDecks finale. On one hand, it was great seeing the way it ended, but with it now over, only Strange New Worlds remains out of what once was 5 running shows on Paramount+, aside from what is in production right now.
