Thinking about how when the IInd legion found the keeper clans moro'a was raised with in corvos they would've assumed the men were the ones in charge and focused on killing and beating them down first, not realising that the elders were all women until afterwards

They're both mages and kinda similar in personality so it'd be a bit like doing two of the same playthrough, except that sandra's a force mage and natasha's a spirit healer

Idk if i'll ever go back and finish sandra or natasha's playthroughs. maybe sandra's bc i never finished romancing merrill, a crime upon my soul (sorry anders i did watch all your romance cutscenes on youtube)

I still remember when i was playing through the quest where leandra died and i picked the red option, at which all kosh said was "goodbye, mother." idk how to put it poetically but there was an air of curt finality in jo wyatt's line delivery that still lives in my head

Ok i was supposed to talk about my other hawkes too LMAO they're not as fleshed out but kosh (my warrior hawke) dealt with everything by being fiercely independent and perpetually aggressive (i'm pretty sure she had rivalry or neutral approval with everyone except isabela ahskjdhaj)

I picked rogue first bc hehe stabby and then fleshed him out later, but i like how it all ties together. i think he picked up those skills because hiding (literally or verbally) was how he'd kept his loved ones safe, and things just extended naturally from there

Aaron was a shy wallflower of a boy who learned to stand taller and be braver for carver and bethany's sakes, but especially little beth, because he'd watched his parents worry themselves sick after learning she was a mage. but then carver dies, and the guilt eats at him for years

I thought a bit too hard about my hawkes bc of that top 5 da chars thing and i wanted to talk about them here an age ago or smth so. hawke's role as the eldest child gets to me way more than their role as Champion ever will because [hahahaha] but it manifests so differently for each of them

The other driver behind wanting to change aksamit's ancient counterpart is that i initially typed her as ice-coded, but these days earth or lightning feels far more fitting

I've been stuck in the rut of all time with them for years and therefore not fleshing them out at all because i felt like i needed to fully understand the greek löre behind demeter, persephone and hades before attempting smth interesting with those dynamics. turns out i don't care enough to do that💀

I'm gonna do it. i'm going to free myself from the wheel (retcon aksamit and fennel's ancient counterparts)

Or maybe i shouldn't be thinking about this when the Demons in my brain are out and about

Idk how i feel about not knowing if anything about my ocs is cringe but free. like maybe i did but they got weeded out over time in tiny tiny bits bc my intense desire to impart a sense of reality/logic to my characters consequently shaves off the things that made them more silly and interesting

I had a qotd saved for months about what your wol/oc's most unapologetic/mary sue traits are because the only thing i could think of was moro'a's blue hair...i don't think that really qualifies either since that's gotten him into trouble before for being so hard to miss 💀

I did just remember renn from the chronicles of ancient darkness, so there's that. she and other chars like merrill & chise hatori all partialy fit the bill and also endure unfathomable levels of girl suffering...maybe it's just a combination of all of them

I feel like i'm forgetting a crucial piece of media that wired my synapses as a kid because i Know there's more to moro'a's backstory of cultural alienation and religious trauma than like. my own life but i can't recall what it is for the life of me

The bit i keep trying to dig at without success is what compels moro'a to be attracted to exarch in the first place tbh...but ultimately i think they both had very incomplete ideas of the other in their heads, and once that wasn't enough things fell apart quickly

At the center of it all was exarch's/g'raha's inability to see moro'a beyond the heroic image in his head, but i think it goes much further than that and has a heavy hand in how he molds himself for his role after the 8th calamity

Which completely backfires when it comes to shooting his shot

Oh god i think i just figured out the Thing that pushed moro'a to snap at g'raha 💀 not sure if we're cooking yet but 🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️🧍‍♂️

The fact that it takes place in a decrepit barn stays tho like idgaf about that

Guy who keeps going back and forth on just how questionable i make moro'a's first time because all it might take is one (1) guy out there to cancel your life off the platform

It's not that he took his shot and missed, he just did the one (1) thing that would guarantee eternal rejection and stumbled blindly into it with zero knowledge or awareness

Thinking about how it's kind of funny that zenos killed off any chance of him and moro'a approaching anything remotely close to understanding, or even a smidge of 'i acknowledge you and your desires' when he took his body

There is no substantial leo/moro'a modern AU btw, all i have is a searingly vivid image in my mind's eye of mat rempit leo on his motorcycle with moro'a sitting behind him holding him by the waist while they ride off into the sunset

Maybe i can't post freely on main without the Anxiety until my mental health's better, but here....
