Women experience guilt, shame and exclusion in gaming culture, study finds A new study has revealed how many women in the UK experience guilt and shame around playing video games, and how this is linked to feeling excluded from gaming culture.

A study co-led by Dr Seán Roberts reveals there is a hidden side to gaming for women in the UK.

Although almost 50% of women play games – mostly on their mobile phones – many still feel guilty or ashamed or excluded.
