I have NEVER even heard of that game! Is it like an RPG version of a violent sports game, or was there minis and whatnot? I did enjoy Mutant League Football back in the day - do you remember the ORIGINAL Cyanide sportsball game, from when it wasn’t even licensed BB?

There was a mobile game of Kerrunch that was truly awful - almost an on rails version of a 5v5 BB … plus full
of microtransactions! Honestly, I still get mad at how bad that game was! 😂😂😂

- change to not make all the preamble/postamble feel … A LOT.

I get I’m a minority. Blitz Bowl was a good step, but leaned a bit too much into the “score if you make a throw” stuff so it kind of didn’t feel like BB … Maybe 7s, but with a more pick up a team and play feel? I dunno 🤷🏻‍♂️

- Messi & all that. & as with most “big” wargames, you can tank early & have a miserable time down to just a few bad rolls.

I’ve felt (& you know this) I want BB in 10 mins. Pick up & play with big players & all the fun. Reduce the numbers, ok, but the whole system of the game needs a BIG -

- game is an evenings worth of effort & I’ve always had an issue (as you well know from my lecture length messages!) that it doesn’t have the FIFA-ry pick up & playness of having say, the Reavers taking on the All-Stars where you get to play with all the fluff players, getting to be BB -

I think my issue with BB now is they’ve found a little groove for it, semi frequent updates, articles & new editions … & 3rd Ed is legitimately one of the best games ever designed.

But times have changed & I just think BB as it exists now is neither fish nor fowl - it’s rules mean a full -

What’s your thoughts on them? I’m unsurprised they’ve gone for the teams … but … after reading the blurb, there’s still not much making me want to get back into the game … each match just takes FOREVER … looking forward to seeing your interpretations of these though!

The irony of the one shot episode actually being stitched together is a meta irony that is both simultaneously hilarious, disappointing and of course a great comment on the “one shot” fad.
