From the trailer I really liked how dense the vegetation looked, especially in the jungle/swampy segments. Does a lot of work in making it feel like you're going on an adventure.

Kinda happy to see people genuinely excited and positive about a Pokémon game again tbh.

Atlus RPGs are usually good! Metaphor: ReFantazio, Shin Megami Tensei V (and SMT Nocturne HD), Etrian Odyssey 1-3, and of course the Persona games (at least 3-5) are all available on PC and often go on pretty deep sales.

Also really enjoyed Fantasy Life i and the Monster Hunter Stories games.

It gets a lot of flak for having lots of fetch quests, and padding, and the enemies being spongy. That's all true, but the actual story has some really strong moments imo. All of the VAs knock it out of the park.

And especially later on you can make better use of your time traveling than you can just being out and about! You can cook and bathe and fish and clear any party bond events you haven't done yet.

There's one REALLY satisfying instance of this around Brilehaven (the third major city you visit) where if you manage to get all the side quests available you can make a large circle on the world map crossing things off your list in I wanna say just under a week ingame. Wish it had more like that.

The fact that your objective never changes from start to finish and there isn't some big twist evil or anything was honestly refreshing.
