I've got some new hearing aids. Now everything sounds really LOUD!
If only they made spectacles that had the same effect.

They're the ones who want to follow me on Instagram. Some of them are in military uniform, others in lumberjack shirts. 😊

I've just been followed by someone who's following 24.4k people.
Ridiculous!
If you're "follpwing" a huge number, you're not actually following any of them.
It's simply attentions-seeking, so I'll block you.
Bye bye!

Chronic ocean heating fuels β€˜staggering’ loss of marine life, study finds Fish levels fall by 7.2% with as little as 0.1C of warming per decade, northern hemisphere research shows

Rising ocean temps blamed for massive die-off of marine life. "Researchers examined the year-to-year change of 33,000 [fish] populations in the northern hemisphere.... They found the drop in biomass from chronic heating to be as high as 19.8% in a single year." www.theguardian.com/environment/...

A majority aren't members of a political party - fewer than ever. They may like specific policies of some of them. Over the last few decades they seem to have voted against parties, not for them. The days of one party government and an opposition are over.
We need PR, and then a new system.

At this moment, all I want is another mug of tea.
What a majority of the people of the Middle East must want is peace and safety, but the prospect's not great.
I'd like others to be better informed.

I wasn't making excuses, but it's true that America did leave a mess in Iraq and Afghanistan, assisted by the UK. It's it's one of the reasons we have an influx of refugees from there.
I've met a young Kurdish refugee. He came to escape conscription into a militia, not wishing to kill anyone.

The World This Weekend - Iran and Israel launch fresh attacks after Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei killed - BBC Sounds Iran and Israel continue attacks after Iran's Ayatollah Khamenei killed.

For a good look at what's happening in the Middle East, listen to this.

In 'American Foreign Relations: A Very Short Introfuction', published by Oxford University Ptess, it's pointed out that America enjoys "free security" because it's surrounded by "an absence of threat", with no danger of invasion.
If that were not the case, would it be so keen to interfere abroad?

Turkish commentary, on what to expect after the attack on Iran: "Wherever the Americans have been, they've left a mess. Look at Iraq, look at Afghanistan."
He might have added, look at Israel, which depends on American support, and is responsible for a continuing mess since 1948.

That's not what my Green district and county councillor have been doing.
Pot holes, school transport, housing developments, etc., are nothing to do with culture war issues, whatever they are.

A reminder: if you have an alarm for use in emergencies, such as a fall or sudden illness, check that it works when BT chang to fibre from copper wires.
Some alarms won't work in a power cut. Others use mobile signals. I don't know that'll happen if you don't have one.
Your council may advise.

Gender Critical Greens

My Green district and county councillors do a good job but I'd hesitate to vote Green as long as they're strongly influenced by trans activists, just as Labour and the Lib Dems are. It's how a minority have sought to influence public policy.
Polanski is immature and oblivious of the exploitation.

28.02.2026 12:04 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Polanski and the Greens are strongly influenced by transgender activists and have excluded members who disagreed with them.
The Supreme Court ruling hasn't changed this.
It's a deterrent for rational voters, especially women and gay men.

American foreign policy is shit, but it's good for its arms trade.

What we know about the joint US-Israel attack on Iran Donald Trump has described

So Trump threatened Iran for killing protesters, then kills Iranian civilians with the help of Israel, which has killed thousands of Palestinian civilian. And all from the safety of The Oval office, or wherever he is.

Interesting by-election result. I'm wondering how many Green Party members have resisted gender nonsense? Do they just keep quiet, or are they attempting to educate the rest?
