Watched a Curzon screening of ‘My Beautiful Laundrette’ (1985) and never felt more in 2025. Thatcher’s Britain as portrayed in the film feels very present. Watch it or rewatch.

My first film of #CineRedis25 is the absolutely delightful Absolute Beginners, an ambitious and stuffed full of talent musical about the birth of modern Britain is 1958. It's also got David Bowie power walking up a giant typewriter.
