I’d have to give it more thought to offer a complete answer but off the top of my head? For a shooter?
- mechanics that encourage creative/lateral thinking (rather than one clear meta)
- level design that is curated with flow in mind.
- game modes created to suit levels, rather than vice versa.

So what factors of modes or gameplay really need to be present for your 10/10 qualification standards?

I'm nearly 10 hours in, and while the Nintendo vibes moments are there, for me personally it's just a giant "sand pit" to decimate and collect-o-thon tradition of most 3D platformers without much else. The few & far between environment tracks to actual score like compositions hurts in the nostalgia.

What about Battlefield Bad Company 2? Would you call it approaching a 10/10?
