Jim Lovell, the astronaut whose cool command of the Apollo 13 space mission was immortalised in a Hollywood film, has died aged 97

I put one into the outside air yesterday and it flew straight back in, then proceeded to bash itself against the (open) window as if I was keeping it prisoner!

I’m now using the maths texts as a student for my undergrad maths & stats degree in the UK. They are fantastic as supplementary learning. The lower level ones are superb for revision of the basic concepts, and the higher level ones seem to align with my Open University modules really well.

Does that mean he’s going for Prime Minister? We could do with a Ken in Parliament 😂

1900’s stone house and it’s absolutely boiling in summer. Worst is at night, when the heat stored in the stone from the sun during the day, leaches into the house and boils you. Urban area too with no trees or greenery in the streets to absorb any of the heat or provide shade onto the house.

Anyone good at identifying by bugs?? Hubby just found this little fellow in the garden. Insect app is saying Giant Mayfly but it’s far more yellow than pics of the Giant. Could this be a Yellow (name not colour!) Mayfly? #Gardening

Foot golf is awesome!!! Got the chance to play it a few years ago and it was so much fun!

Just got an iPhone 16 pro max as my 12’s battery was struggling. I love it except… that stupid floating island thing at the top. It annoys the fook out of me. I didn’t even notice the notch on my 12 but this black blob is doing my head in. It’s not like you can use the tiny bit of screen above it!
