A hawk (or falcon) in my tree

Some sort of mushroom growing on my maple bush.

Just this week, we had 2 bald eagles circling overhead, and this hawk (falcon?) perched on our tree. In the darkness last night I stumbled upon a hawk eating its prey on my back fence. It dropped it and flew away, leaving me to fling the headless rabbit over the fence so my puppy wouldn’t find it.

The look she gave me when I asked for some personal space. I have a Stage 3 clinger over here.
