SOCIAL MURDER A term coined by Friedrich Engels in 1845 and used to describe murder committed by the political & social elite where they knowingly permit conditions to exist where the poorest and most vulnerable in society are deprived of the necessities of life and are placed in a position in which they cannot reasonably be expected to live and will inevitably meet an early and unnatural death.

There are 2 primary concepts of Social Murder in academic literature… 1) Social Murder as resulting from capitalist exploitation 2) Social Murder as resulting from bad public policy across the domains of working conditions, living conditions, poverty, housing, racism, health inequalities, crime and violence, neoliberalism, gender, food insecurity, social assistance, and deregulation and austerity.

THIS is how we STOP the gutting of Medicare and Medicaid.
