It's funny how some characters in Masters the VA nails it SO good that you're instantly like "yes that's the character and that voice has always been theirs, it can be no other" and others you're just like "nope."

That's just a nitpick but the main issue is just, I don't like this really high-pitched baby voice the VA is using for her, it just doesn't sound good to me.

I have to say, I really like Juliana the character but the English VA for her in Masters? Not my jam. Especially with this new sync pair.
They desperately needed another take on her victory quote, too. She says "precious" super weird.

I know Bede has a billion alts but Rapidash is my favorite of his team-members, ya know? Ehh. We'll prob see this alt again in the future relatively soon though, I imagine.

Oh btw I was dumb and pulled for 1997 Red because at the time I was having a poopy day and just needed something to do as a distraction. I had to almost go down to pity for him and to go all the way to pity for Juliana so now only have 5k gems left. May not get poor Bede now 🥲

idk but in any case it's VERY clear there will be future Ogerpons since we only have her grass form so far. So we will def see her again. Possibly multiple times if they keep doing just a single mask at a time. Which means both Juliana and Kieran could have one

I honestly would prefer them to fully use Ogerpon's mask gimmick in Masters, and was surprised they did not. I expected something similar to Gladion's Silvally or Steven's Deoxys. Full freedom to choose what form to use at the start of the battle. Maybe that's too hard to do plus Terastal moves?

Firered/Leafgreen port is nice I guess but I won't bother with that when I have my emulators, lol
Honestly I don't give a crap about Firered/Leafgreen anyway. I'd play the OG Red/Blue/Green instead. *shrug*

I think a return to water exploration is neat. And leaks (spoilers) suggest they are trying to make every pokemon in this game ride-able in some way, which is ambitious but if they pull it off that would be super awesome.

Oh well, no worries. I don't own a Switch 2, too expensive for me, so no immediate plans to play the next gen anyway.

I've been following the leaks very closely so I've had a good idea of what they're working on. Altho I don't plan to play anytime soon I hope the game turns out good.

Ok haha that Direct was super underwhelming, I honestly was hoping for more for the 30th anniversary-- although I wasn't *expecting* more. What we got was actually what I expected, sadly.

I have genuinely given up all hope for quadrupedal final evos for the starters after being burned far too many times by now. But if they DO give us quadrupeds, I might actually buy a Switch 2 and play the damn game. Sigh

There is one pokemon I actually *might* go through with, for a tattoo, though. It would be the original sprite of it from Pokemon Red/Blue.

I always told myself if I got a tattoo, I had to follow the hard rule of NOTHING fandom-related. Because I hyperfixate and tend to do so for several years before moving on to the next thing. Won't I regret a tattoo once my obsession has died down?

I've been thinking, to celebrate my midlife crisis, I might get a tattoo.

It's kind of a shame Nintendo has been leaning way too hard into Kanto nostalgia for so long now, because the 30th anniversary is a great time to actually break out that nostalgia. Which has way more impact if we're not fatigued from it being constantly over-used by the franchise.
