You are unable to ban user apps, this is how they have worked since they were introduced, the same can be observed when trying to ban the wordle bot which, is also a user app.

They likely just want something stable that works without needing you to intervene whenever something goes wrong with a update. I daily drive linux on my desktop as i know i'll have time to fix issues that pop up, but for my laptop i decided to go to a mac for 2 important reasons, firstly it's (1/2)
