A latex prosthetic resembling an unnatural growth is covering the cosplayer's right eye.

I had a ton of fun, got to know lots of cool people and other cosplayers and I may or may not have decided to pick up Tekken.
Sincerely hope I can go again next year, though for now I'll focus on getting a new cosplay Holmat-ready.

Just realized I never posted a picture of my full Gale cosplay. This is my first homemade cosplay (based on a modified pattern by MeigetsuShop on Etsy), so might as well show it off a little :)
I had only ever made props before, so this is a bit of an achievement for me :)

Speaking off, I recently saw an old picture of myself with really *really* long hair. That doesn't make me any more confident in my choices to cut it again, aaaaahhh

The fact that Holmat is so close kind of scares me.... I thought I had more time, I still don't even have pants. ...and also still missing the emotional preparation needed to cut my hair to match Gale's AAAAHHHH

A flat piece of pleather resting against a sewing machine. It's painted to look somewhat like it is made up of woven strands. One side has velcro, so it can be wrapped around a forearm. It is decorated with rows of metal grommets.

After several failed attempts, I have finally come up with a bracer design I'm mostly happy with. I couldn't get the material to behave when actually woven, so it's painted.
Gale was NOT one with the weave on this one.
