Couldn't manage to get a snap of the delightfully peachy moon tonight, so here's one of the sun from this morning #worshipthedayball

21.07.2025 03:37 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Is there ANY truth to the notion that plants can repel rats? I will line my whole fence with mint and rue if it will keep them away.
20.07.2025 13:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Last year I talked to the tenant. Reported it to the town. Town made them clean up the harborage and baited, but the same parts of the yard are all overgrown again. New tenants this year.
20.07.2025 13:50 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0So my neighbors have a rat problem in their yard. Which means I have a rat problem in my yard.
Yesterday I rearranged all my pots (supposedly rats fear "new") and was sitting at the patio table reading about plants that repel rats, glanced over and a rat was two feet away. Seven pm, still daylight.

Foreground is a black and orange kayak on a wide calm river. In the background is a white egret on a log.
I don't know if I've ever seen an egret around here before. That means nothing about egrets; I probably just don't get out enough tbh
19.07.2025 22:35 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0The US government has been so effective, for so long, that a great deal of the population has ever understood what it's like to live without a safety net. Make no mistake, the death of NOAA, FEMA, the EPA, OSHA and more is going to rip the rug out from under the working class.
