when i was a kid, i only ever saw the first ~45 min of Labyrinth, this happened many times so for me she was perpetually trapped in a liminal nightmare with no end or hope of escape.
saw the actual ending as an adult, so i appreciate the movie more now, but some of those scenes are still haunting.
