On October 4th, almost 500 people were arrested in Trafalgar Square while holding carboard signs opposing genocide and the proscription of Palestine Action.

As Gaza endures genocide and starvation, the Israeli military intercepted the Global Sumud Flotilla and abducted civilian volunteers attempting to deliver urgent humanitarian aid. In response, thousands took to the streets of London in protest.

This was the largest mass arrest carried out by the Metropolitan Police in over 60 years.
Those arrested included retired doctors and nurses, clergy, disabled people, teachers, grandparents, and others from all walks of life.
They gathered in silent protest, holding placards in defiance of the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the UK Government’s complicity, and its move to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation.
